Quilt Raffle Winners
Congratulations to Colleen Williams and Sue Beagle, our first and second prize winners of the second annual Animalandia Loreto Quilt Raffle. Thank you to everyone who purchased tickets. One hundred percent of the money raised will go to help feed and care for the dogs in our care. This is particularly important this time of year as many of us are getting ready to leave Loreto for our homes in the US and Canada. As promised, here are pictures of the lucky winners.

Don’t forget to put a visit to Animalandia on your to-do list when you’re in Loreto. You can visit us and all the dogs on Saturday and Sunday mornings from 9:00 to 11:00. You’ll meet some really wonderful dogs and learn about the important work done here. Your visit helps to further socialize the dogs in our care and just maybe, you’ll find the four-legged companion you’ve been longing for.

Animalandia Crew Trivia Night
On Wednesday December 18 the Animalandia crew were at the Giggling Dolphin restaurant and bar in Loreto for trivia night. We were there to spread the word about Animalandia and it’s mission to reduce the number of unwanted and stray animals on our streets and to raise a bit of money to help with food, veterinary and other expenses.
We also entered a trivia team and while we managed a top one third performance during the regular rounds, we blew it in the final all or nothing round.
Many tanks go to the Giggling Dolphin restaurant and bar in Loreto for host hosting the trivia night and for helping Animalandia advance it’s mission. We had a lot of fun and it was a successful evening all around.
Successful Spay and Neuter Clinic
Animalandia Loreto was proud to host a spay and neuter clinic recently at which 100 dogs and cats were sterilized absolutely free of charge to the citizens of Loreto. We are thankful for the selfless efforts of vet Christina Sisk, and vet techs Cristina Pena, Samantha Velazquez and Gaby Goldberg. Thanks also go to Deb Stuart and Lucy Gonzalez for organizing the clinic and the many volunteers who helped out in so many ways over the course of the four day clinic.

Cruise Ships Visit Loreto!
On Tuesday and Wednesday, October 28 and 29, two different cruise ships stopped in Loreto, and Animalandia along with #BajaMixLTO were there to greet them. We brought along a few of our cutest puppies to give visiting passengers who were missing their dogs at home a good puppyfix. While they snuggled, we provided some information about our respective organizations and our ongoing mission to improve the lives of Loreto’s animal population. Thanks to the many passengers who kindly donated money, every dollar / peso of which goes to benefit the dogs in our care and to further our work.
